Always a favorite at party's deviled eggs are popular, pretty and delicious appetizers that are enjoyed around the world. In fact Deviled Eggs are the hit of ancient Rome that never really went away, that is how long people have been eating and creating deviled eggs in some form or other. To be a deviled egg the eggs must be boiled, halved and the yolk scooped out and seasoned with other ingredients such as spices and mayonnaise and then the mix applied on top of egg white half. They are usually served cold. Here are 3 yummy deviled egg recipes - CHILLI SPICED DEVILED EGGS, TRADITIONAL CURRIED DEVILED EGGS and JALAPENO SURPRISE DEVILED EGGS. Why wait for a party to make these they are great for snacking too
Traditional Curried Deviled Eggs (pictured in middle)
To make 20 halves
10 hard boiled eggs (directions below)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon curry powder
1/3 red onion sliced thin and fine
salt and pepper
paprika to garnish
To hard boil eggs: Place eggs in saucepan covered with cold water. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Once it starts boiling take it off the heat and set aside to cool for at least 12 minutes.
Step 1
Peel the boiled eggs and discard shells. Slice in half length ways. Remove the yolk into a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients to the bowl and mix very well.
Step 2
Apply to top of eggs and garnish. You can use whatever garnish you like. For this one I used paprika. Refrigerate and serve cold.
Chilli Spiced Deviled Eggs (pictured on right hand side of photo)
10 boiled eggs to make 20 halves.
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
2 tablespoon chilli powder
1/3 red onion sliced thin and fine
salt and pepper
1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
celery leaves to garnish
Step 1
Use boiled and peeled eggs, directions for how to do this are above. Halve the eggs length ways and scoop the yolk into a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients and mix well.
Step 2
Apply to the top of eggs and garnish. For this one I used a celery leaf. Refrigerate and serve cold.
Jalapeno Surprise Deviled Eggs (pictured on left hand side of photo)
10 boiled and peeled eggs to make 20 halves.
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 stalk celery finely sliced
1/3 red onion finely sliced
1tablespoon wholegrain mustard
2 teaspoons Jalapeno Sauce
sliced green olives for garnishing

Apply to top of eggs and garnish. For this deviled egg I used sliced green olive but you can use whatever you like. Refrigerate and serve cold.
